Hi @Nagy11,
Welcome to the HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query.
I'm sorry to hear that you're experiencing issues with your HP laptop battery not charging. Here are a few troubleshooting steps you can try to resolve the issue:
Check the Power Adapter and Cable:
- Ensure that your power adapter and cable are securely connected to the laptop and wall outlet.
- Try using a different power outlet to rule out any issues with the current one.
Inspect the Battery and Connection:
- Remove the battery if it's removable and inspect the contacts to ensure they are clean and making good contact with the laptop.
- Reinsert the battery and try charging again.
Perform a Hard Reset:
- Shut down the laptop.
- Disconnect the power adapter and remove the battery (if removable).
- Press and hold the power button for about 15-20 seconds.
- Reconnect the battery and power adapter, then power on the laptop.
Update the Battery Driver:
- Go to Device Manager on your laptop.
- Under the Batteries section, right-click on Microsoft ACPI-Compliant Control Method Battery and select Uninstall driver.
- Restart the unit.
BIOS Settings Check:
- Ensure that any energy-saving settings in the BIOS are configured correctly (if applicable).
Battery Health Management Settings:
- For HP business notebooks, you can access the Battery Health Manager through BIOS:
- Turn off the laptop and turn it on while pressing F10 to enter BIOS.
- Navigate to Advanced > Power Management Options > Battery Health Manager.
- Select the appropriate battery management setting.
Take care and have an amazing day!
