Hi @Nagy11,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query.

I'm sorry to hear that you're experiencing issues with your HP laptop battery not charging. Here are a few troubleshooting steps you can try to resolve the issue:

Check the Power Adapter and Cable:

  • Ensure that your power adapter and cable are securely connected to the laptop and wall outlet.
  • Try using a different power outlet to rule out any issues with the current one.

Inspect the Battery and Connection:

  • Remove the battery if it's removable and inspect the contacts to ensure they are clean and making good contact with the laptop.
  • Reinsert the battery and try charging again.

Perform a Hard Reset:

  • Shut down the laptop.
  • Disconnect the power adapter and remove the battery (if removable).
  • Press and hold the power button for about 15-20 seconds.
  • Reconnect the battery and power adapter, then power on the laptop.

Update the Battery Driver:

  • Go to Device Manager on your laptop.
  • Under the Batteries section, right-click on Microsoft ACPI-Compliant Control Method Battery and select Uninstall driver.
  • Restart the unit.

BIOS Settings Check:

  • Ensure that any energy-saving settings in the BIOS are configured correctly (if applicable).

Battery Health Management Settings:

  • For HP business notebooks, you can access the Battery Health Manager through BIOS:
    • Turn off the laptop and turn it on while pressing F10 to enter BIOS.
    • Navigate to Advanced > Power Management Options > Battery Health Manager.
    • Select the appropriate battery management setting.

Take care and have an amazing day!
