Did you try using a different power adapter?

 

I suggest you run hardware test from the UEFI menu.

 

1. Turn off the computer and leave for 10 to 25 seconds.

2. Turn on the computer.

3. Immediately press the f2 key repeatedly, about once every second, until the UEFI menu opens.

 

When the UEFI menu opens, select the diagnostic test you want to run, and then follow the on-screen instructions.

 

If the test passes, refer to this link: https://support.hp.com/in-en/document/c04700771 to test and calibrate the battery.
