Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

In the last couple of days, I have been unable to log onto the laptop using my fingerprint, it does not seem to recognise the fingerprint scanner.

Hi There,

Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Could you please help me with the exact model name or the product number?

Are you facing this issue after an update?

Keep me posted.

Cheers:)

The type number was pasted into the previous message.

I managed to fix yesterday.

I first tried a System Restore but it did not help.

I  then searched for a source where I could download the driver if necessary then uninstalled it with selecting to delete the files.  I rebooted and it sorted itself out, it must have re-installed the driver.  Fingerprint worked again.  It happened so fast that I re-booted again to be sure and all OK still.
