Thank you for posting on HP Support Community.
Don't worry as I'll be glad to help, I have a few troubleshooting steps we could try to fix the issue:
One of the first things you can do is set your connection as metered. This will let Windows 10 know you don't want large updates and apps automatically download. Go to Start > Settings >Network & Internet > Wi-Fi > Advanced Options. Then Toggle on Set as metered connection.
Hope this helps! Keep me posted for further assistance.
Please click “Accept as Solution” if you feel my post solved your issue, it will help others find the solution.

Thank you for posting back.
Let's turn off the background app data consumption
- Go to settings>Privacy>Background apps.
- From the list choose which apps can receive info, send notification, and stay up-to-date
And also Disable PC Sync:
Go to settings> Accounts > Sync your settings and turn off Sync setting.
Hope this helps! Keep me posted for further assistance.
