@5CD3148NWN, Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
I understand how frustrating it can be when your laptop won’t power on. Let’s try a few steps to isolate and resolve the issue.

Perform a Hard Reset (Power Drain)

This helps clear any residual electrical charge that might be preventing the laptop from starting.

  • Disconnect the AC adapter and remove any external devices (USB drives, peripherals).
  • Press and hold the power button for 15 seconds.
  • Reconnect the charger (without pressing the power button yet).
  • Now, press the power button once and check if the laptop turns on.

Check the AC Adapter and Charging Port

  • Ensure the charger is working. If possible, test with a known working HP adapter.
  • Inspect the charging port for any dust, damage, or looseness.
  • When you plug in the charger, the charging LED should stay solid. If it blinks and turns off when pressing the power button, it could indicate a hardware fault.

Try a BIOS Recovery (if applicable)

Sometimes the BIOS may become corrupted and prevent startup.

  • Turn off the laptop.
  • Press and hold the Windows + B keys, then press and hold the power button for 2-3 seconds.
  • Release the power button but continue holding Windows + B for another 10 seconds.
  • If the BIOS recovery screen appears, follow the on-screen instructions.
