Hi @Phoenix501,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query. I will be glad to help you.

I'm sorry to hear about the issue with your laptop. Based on your description, here are a few troubleshooting steps you can try:

Check Power Supply: Make sure the power outlet is working by plugging in another device or try using a different outlet.

Inspect the Power Cord and Charger: Examine the power cord and charger for any visible damage, such as frayed wires or bent connectors. If you have access to another compatible charger, try using it to see if it resolves the issue.

Test the Battery: If your laptop has a removable battery, try removing it and then connecting the laptop to the charger without the battery. See if it turns on.

Perform a Hard Reset:

  • Disconnect the charger from the laptop.
  • Remove the battery if it's removable.
  • Press and hold the power button for about 15 to 20 seconds to discharge any residual power.
  • Reconnect the battery and charger, then try powering it on again.

Inspect the Charger Port: Check the charger port on the laptop for debris or damage. Gently blow air into the port to remove any dust.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have an amazing day!
