Hi:

The M.2 slot your notebook has supports SATA M.2 drives only.

Both the crucial memory/SSD report and Chapter 1 of the service manual indicate that...

Hello, unfortunately you can't install an m.2 PCIe NVMe SSD on this PC. However, you can probably use a SATA m.2 SSD.

For more information you can try this online scanner:

https://www.crucial.com/usa/en/systemscanner

And if you want to be sure you have the slot you can open your PC to verify, see page 41 of your maintenance manual:

http://h10032.www1.hp.com/ctg/Manual/c05271036

Before opening your PC it is recommended to go to battery safe mode:

  1. With the computer turned off and AC adapter connected, press the following key and button

    combination: Windows key + Backspace key + Power button.

  2. Turn the computer on to initiate “Battery Safe mode.”

  3. After the computer powers off, disconnect the AC adapter.

@orwa430

On page 2 of the Maintenance and Service Guide (document c05271036.pdf) only M.2 SATA 3 SSD's are supported. Therefore NVMe drive won't work.

Regards.
