Need Help Finding the Exact HP Battery for my HP Envy 17m-bw0013dx

Hi there,

I’m having trouble finding the HP battery that fits my HP Envy 17m-bw0013dx

My model # is 17m-bw0013dx

SN# 8CG8476HR0

The problem I’m having is that everything online says the HP battery model LK03XL is the battery for my laptop.

Apparently, when I had my battery changed two years ago, they put in an aftermarket battery.

As you can tell from the pictures,  the battery that will fit my computer has to fit in this tray and the bottom right hand side of the Battery where the white arrow is, should not have a screw tab there or it will not fit in the tray. 

The battery in my laptop fits at kind of at an angle and not straight in the laptop.

It looks like they broke off the screw tab of this aftermarket battery to make it fit.

I’m just trying to find the correct battery for my laptop or the correct HP battery part number.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

HP does not sell the battery you need, so the only suggestion I can offer would be to do a search by the HP L09281-855 battery part number on Amazon, eBay or laptopbatteryexpress.com and find a compatible aftermarket battery that references the HP part number.

The ones I could find all have that double screw hold tab on the bottom right side of the battery.

There are some on eBay that indicate they are genuine HP batteries but they could have just stuck a HP label on the battery casing.
