Need Pavilion DV6000 Bios Update files

I need Hp DV 6000 Bios update files to fix an issue where notebook running a Microsoft Windows 7
Operating System may display an incorrect message about replacing the battery.

model : Hp pavilion dv6000 (RP968EA#UUZ)

system board Id  :  30B8

Bios version :  F.1A

Hi:

The parts list doesn't tell me what processor your notebook has...AMD or Intel.

They use different BIOS files.

Please let me know that info, and I will post the links to the applicable update.

You're very welcome.

I have some good news and some bad news.

First the bad news...since your notebook has an AMD processor and you are running W7 on it, you cannot update the BIOS unless you are running Windows XP or Windows Vista.

If you try and update the BIOS on a dv6000 when running Windows 7, with an AMD processor, you will permanently wreck the notebook.

Install XP or Vista and then you can update the BIOS.
