Hello! I have been looking for the firmware to the Lite-on LCS-128L9S-HP
Firmware version 9C08
H/W: 01
Hp part number: 763649-001.
I need to reinstall / Update the Firmware because the SSD does not take format, either as NTFS or exFAT, neither using diferent formating programs or windows itself. It stays as a RAW partition, Checked the surface and seems OK, so, it appears to me that the FW has rotted or something. Have been looking for it everywere but i cant seem to find it. I dont remember which pc it came from, just know it was HP. Thank you!

HP does not appear to provide firmware for the Lite-On SSD products.
I have seen it at Dell and Lenovo when searching for it.
I also see downloads at this Firmware HQ website, but downloading and using the firmware files is at your own risk.

I have seen lite-on SSD firmware on some models like the ProBook 450 G2, wich have the firmware to the SSD.
Downloading this, ends up with the file sp71702.exe, which is compatible with the models LCH-128V2S and LCH-256V2S.
Rally, having an HP part number, wont i have the Firmware?
SSD for now stays in RAW format, and trying to format it to ntfs or exFAT ends up with I/O error of some sort.
It would be a shame to loose it since i could really put it to good use.
Also tried to search for the MPTOOL for the Marvell 88SS9188 controller in the SSD, but after hours of searching Russian and chinnese forums, nothing.

Have you considered using Windows own DiskPart?
Do you have a USB adapter for an M.2 SSD so you can do it on another Windows machine?
