@Matthew060 Welcome to HP Support Community,

Thank you for posting your query; I’m here to help by guiding you through steps to resolve this issue

Here's how you can manage your SSD and partitions on your HP laptop running Windows 10 22H2:

Understand Drives and Partitions:

  • A drive is a physical storage device like your SSD.
  • A partition is a section of a drive formatted to be used for storage.
  • A volume is a storage area on a partition.

Create a New Partition:

  • Open Create and format hard disk partitions in Windows.
  • Right-click your SSD and select Shrink Volume to free up space.
  • Right-click the unallocated space and select New Simple Volume to create a partition. Follow the wizard to assign a drive letter and format the partition.

Change a Drive Letter:

  • Again, go to Create and format hard disk partitions.
  • Right-click the desired drive and select Change Drive Letter and Paths.
  • Choose a new drive letter and confirm the change.

Expand SSD Storage:

  • If you have unallocated space, you can expand existing partitions by right-clicking the partition and selecting Extend Volume.

I hope this helps.

Please feel free to reply here if you have any questions or if you need further clarification on any of the steps.

Take care and have a good day.
