Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

This morning one of my USB ports (on the left side just under the power button) didn't work after booting the computer.  I went thru a bunch of troubleshooting (uninstalling the usbs in device manager, etc.. ) and when all that didn't work, I ran a component test in diagnostics. From there I received the following failure id:

PG67XD-9RXA02-MFPXGK-8D5G03

Can anyone tell me what this failure Id points to?  Someone said doing a system recovery 'might' fix the problem but I don't want to do it if I don't have to.  The laptop is only 2 months old and I haven't had any other issues with it since I got it.

If the laptop is under warranty, sounds like a hardware failure code. If you call HP technical support they are going to have you do a windows factory reset and test the issue from there. So you would want to back up your personal files on a flashdrive using the other usb ports that work. Then send you a boxkit to send the laptop off. Sounds like a dreaded task but its the only way to fix it without taking it somewhere locally. I would do the reset and see if that is the issue. Also inspect the port with a flash light make sure the port stem inside there is not broken off.
