HP Notebook - 15-dw1300ng

After the last BIOS update to version F.66, if the laptop is shut down with the lid still open, it starts normally.

but, if the lid is closed and I try to open the laptop and start it, it won't start unless I plug in the charger.
so, how to get old bios version, to downgrade.

Unfortunately, once a BIOS has had an upgrade applied it can't be downgraded.

I will pass this unfortunate result of the update on to the HP Laptop SME.

Thanks for replay, so  i should wait the next update maybe.

Previously, there was the possibility to have all versions listed online.

All of the BIOS versions are still there. Look more closely at the actual BIOS web document at the link I provided.

Click on and expand the revision history section.

You will see download links for all of the version from the initial on to the most recent

As Erico advised, there is obviously a problem with the bios.

However, closing the lid on a notebook puts it to sleep.  There could be a sleep problem that was made worse by the bios update.    You might run the "sleep report" listed here

https://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/Notebooks-Knowledge-Base/Diagnosing-sleep-problems-in-modern-notebooks...

If any errors show up, try to fix them.  One can usually google the error and (possibly) find a solution.  The report provides information about any errors.
