I recently got an elgato hd60 for my xbox and I found out I didnt have USB 3.0 and looked up if they had an adapter and they do but before I buy I want to be sure It will work and will be helpful i have a HP 15 Notebook PC and it's got a broken screen so it has to be plugged in to a monitor via parallel cables and an hdmi adapter and it has one free port for 2.0 but I need 3.0 for the elgato to work. I just want to know if its possible to use an Express card and if so what's the best one

15-f039wm...a Walmart model. It has no Expresscard slot but the USB ports are USB 3.0 not USB 2.0.

Could we have the model number of the laptop? If it has an Expresscard 34 and/or 54 slot yes you can insert a usb 3.0 expansion card and it will work. Windows 8 and higher will have native drivers and you would need to install a driver for Windows 7 to enable USB 3.0. An expresscard USB 3.0 adapter will not quite achieve the same transfer rates as an internal USB 3.0 port but it will be much faster than USB 2.0. This must be a pretty old laptop.

It's got windows 10 and it is version 1803 it's got an Intel processor with a CPU N2830 @ 2.16 GHz I would need to look at what the model number is but I'm not at home right now but i bought it last year so it's not old but the more i think about it i might be able to use it just need to know what brand and model of Express card to get

Expresscards have not been useable on any model made since about 2008. You have to have an Expresscard slot to use an Expresscard is why I need your model number but with that processor I can't see how you could as it is newer than Expresscard but also means your laptop should have a USB 3.0 port or 2 or them.
