Hi!

 

Paul, the Omen 16-b0000 laptops were reviewed (Laptopmedia) as having a second Gen3 slot.

We also got a post about a month ago, right here on the HP community, where someone uploaded a photo of their 16-b1000 motherboard. The Alder Lake refresh also has a second Gen3 m.2 slot.

The 990 PRO is perfect for a gaming laptop, I agree, as long as the firmware is updated ASAP, both for the "freak" rapid health decline issue we've seen this last year, and other trivial ones that followed....
