So according to the above, 8.2.11003.3588 REV: B, is the latest DPTF driver update HP has at this time.

Paul,

Thanks again for your very interesting post regarding Intel DPTF driver 8.2.11003.3588 REV: B.

There is absolutely no difference between 8.2.11003.3588 REV: A and REV: B - besides some additional "OEM documentation" and a slightly changed very small list of supported HP computers. As mentioned earlier this DPTF package has been released by Intel on January 10, 2017.

The latest DPTF version released by Intel is probably  8.3.10203.4295 dated April 19, 2017, which certainly is also available to HP for months. As said, Dell issued 10 days agao a new customized DPTF package for their computers based on Intels latest version. The HP people probably are still on an extensive summer vacation. It's strange that they have released 8.2.11003.3588 REV: B on June 15, 2017 knowing that there is already a newer version available from Intel.

According to Intel, Version 8.2.11003.3588 is only supported for Windows 10 x64 1511 and 1607. The Creators Update 1703 released by Microsoft in April is not included. However, this doesn't prevent Microsoft to issue a Version 8.2.11004.3973 about 2 weeks ago for their on Surface Pro model.

While Intel claims to support only Windows 10 x64, they still provide the DPTF drivers for x86 in package Version 8.2.11003.3588 (removed in version 8.3.10203.4295).

Probably by accident, HP included in the package of 8.2.11003.3588 REV B the Intel release notes "dptf_8_2_11003_3588_whql_release_note.pdf", which proofs that at least the "system warning, ID 219" on device INT3400 is known.

It seems that neither Intel nor HP nor Microsoft really knows what they are doing with this DPTF. It's like I would buy a car from FORD with included air condition provided by BOSCH, but the temperature management isn't working as expected, because the software of the air condition doesn't recognise the temperature sensor in the car. Analog feedback from FORD would be: Don't worry, the engine has his own overheating protection. If it gets too hot, it just stops working.

Conclusion in President Trumps Twitter language: These computer companies are total losers!

LOL!

Well, I keep looking, and I guess you better write that letter to the HP brass.
