I just received a new HP Spectre x360 13-t-aw200 product number: 9AJ99AV
On first bootup I was greeted with a blue screen error and it restarted itself. It then allowed me to go through the setup process. Once windows booted up and I was playing around with it, I noticed the screen would flicker black sporadically. I made sure all the windows updates were installed and also checked the display graphics driver which was up to date. Even tried uninstalling it and on restart still saw the issue.
I was thinking of doing a clean install anyway so I wanted to see if that would work. As I booted up to the USB I get to the menu where I would format the disc partition and there's nothing showing. I get this error "we couldn't find any drives. to get a storage driver" Googled it and tried a few things but nothing worked. So I boot back into CMD and put in diskpart, then list disk. There's only one disk that pops up and it's showing 28GB (I have a 1TB hard drive). Windows has a clean install tool thats supposed to work similarly. I run that and it immediately runs into an error. At this point I figure I'll try to just do a simple Reset PC and see what happens and I'm greeted with another blue screen error:
"Your PC/Device needs to be repaired. The operating system couldn't be loaded because a critical system driver is missing or contains errors
File:\windows\System32\Drivers\ReFSv1.sys"
Does anyone have any idea what may be going on?

Hi@MikeNJ0013, Welcome to the HP Support Community!
As I understand you need a fix for the kernel power error on the event log,
Don't worry as I'll be glad to help, however, to provide an accurate resolution, I need a few more details:
Do you get any blue screen errors before the device shuts down?
While you respond to that, here's what you need to know:
This scenario usually indicates a problem with the hardware. To help isolate the problem, check the following items:
If you see that the computer generates a Stop error that contains a BugcheckCode value that is not reported in an event ID 41, change the restart behavior for the computer. To do this, follow these steps:
- Right-click My Computer, and then click Properties.
- Click Advanced system settings.
- Click the Advanced tab.
- In the Startup and Recovery section, click Settings.
- Click to clear the Automatically restart check box.
If you've been using the Recovery Partition (F11) to reinstall the OS, I recommend using the Recovery media instead to wipe out the HDD and create a new partition and fresh OS installation: Click here to obtain one, if you don't have one on in your possession.
Hope this helps! Keep me posted.
