Product: HP 250 G8 Notebook PC (1T4J4AV)
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)
I bought two new hp laptops
today. Haven't used it. Just plugged it in and it comes up with a CMOS checksum invalid message. And the battery writes plugged in but doesn't add any percentage. It shows white light when I plug it and sometimes the white light blinks 5 times. It offs once I unplug the charger.

From where did you purchase the laptops?
You should be able to get an RMA to get a replacement on the non-working unit.
