So my computer got hot but never 2 hot it had to shut itself down but hot enough where around the fan was hot to touch, so i took the computer apart and cleaned the outside of the fan and the blades and also changed the thermal paste put it all back together and it ran good for about 5 days then it got hot again same thing but i ignored it thinking it couldn't be fixed cause i did everything that would help, 4 months later while using i reached for something behind the computer and felt no air coming out of the fan so i check the fan to see if it was running and it was running so i got confused on why it was running but no air was coming out so i took it apart the exact same way as i did before, no different and instead of changing the thermal paste and etc i took thr 4 screws out of the fan and pulled the fan itself off and seen dust clotted over the heat spredder what ever that things called then put it back together and tried to turn it on but instead this time it went to a black screen with the caps lock flashing once every second so after i did research it said cpu failure so i replaced the entire motherboard that come out another laptop exactly like this one that the screen was broke in but turned on and powered on fine so ik this cpu and motherboard is good but it is still flashing once every second, whats going on, i took this computer apart and back together (without screws) like 50 times now and its about to end up in the dumpster

I'm sorry, but we are not HP Tech Support and we have no way to either walk you through repairs or to diagnose why the PC is now failing.
Also, you need to know that since you changed motherboards, even if you DO get it working, Windows will deactivate -- because motherboard information is embedded into the info sent to Microsoft to activate Windows, and if this is an HP motherboard, you will NOT be able to activate Windows again because licenses can not be transferred between PCs.
I am a volunteer and I do not work for, nor represent, HP

I put the old motherboard back in, that was just to see if if it was a motherboard and cpu issue which it was not, also the motherboard had another fan so i tried a working motherboard, cpu and fan so it has to be something else

So what happened when you put the old motherboard back in? We can assist somewhat with diagnosis and suggestions but you have to realize the limitations of trying to do remote hardware support. So walk us through as best you can what is going on. Your posts so far have only shed a little light on the issue.

Idk exactly what you mean so i will try my best, with both motherboards, the computer fails to boot with caps lock flashing once every 2-3 seconds so that takes out the possibility of motherboard cpu and fan as a potential issue unless something has to be grounded or something idk, what information are you wanting to know and ill be happy to explain the best way i can

True but the second motherboard was pulled from a working computer so i don't see how its bad and the computer ran fine just slow because it was hot and i was careful with the motherboard so i dont see how its bad i tried a bios flash thinking maybe its the bios and it won't even do that
