Example: Pavilion g6
Microsoft Windows 7 (64-bit)

Keyboard stopped working. Rebooted, but no change. Some keys do work, such as WiFi on/off and function keys like F10 and F5 in set up modes.

Thank you for joining the HP Support Community

To provide you with an accurate solution, I'll need a few more details:

Did you try with a different keyboard?

Follow the below steps to boot into BIOS page and check if the keyboard is working fine.

1. Turn on or restart the computer.

2. While the display is blank, press the f10 key to enter the BIOS settings menu.

If the keyboard is working fine

1. Press Windows+X to open the menu, and choose Device Manager on it.

2. In the device manager, expand category "Keyboard".

3. Under this category, right click on your HID Keyboard driver and click on Uninstall.

4. You may be required to confirm the uninstallation. Check the box next to "Delete the driver software for this device" and click OK button.

5. Restart the computer.

If the issue persists, click on this link:https://support.hp.com/in-en/document/c03738933 and follow the troubleshooting steps.

Raj: I ran the processes you recommended. No change. I downloaded the diagnostics, ran for keyboard and received the following error code: UBUE6W-1J29GG-MFPWW1-G1K413. Ideas? Solutions?
