Starting 3 weeks ago, my computer keeps crashing and giving this black screen with page fault in nonpaged area (0X50) with the rtwlane601.sys failing. I asked my ict teacher if he knew what was going on but he couldn’t know because i hadn’t made a picture yet.

My knowledge in computers is too low to know what is going on and how to fix it. I didn’t click any suspicious links or anything so i do not know why it keeps crashing.

If someone could explain me how to fix it that would be amazing! Thanks!

Hi  @Axolotl2,

Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for reaching out!

I understand how  repeated crashes can be and thank you for sharing the picture.

The error you’re seeing  Page Fault in Nonpaged Area (0x50) with rtwlane601.sys  usually points to a problem with your wireless network driver.

Could you please share the exact HP model number of your computer ?

In the meantime, here are a few  steps you can try:

  1. Update wireless driver Open Device Manager, locate your Realtek wireless adapter, and update the driver. Outdated or corrupted drivers often cause this error.
  2. Run Windows Memory Diagnostic Since the error involves memory, running this tool can check if your RAM is healthy.
  3. Check for Windows updates Make sure your system is fully updated, as patches often fix driver conflicts.
  4. Uninstall and reinstall driver If updating doesn’t help, uninstall the Realtek wireless driver from Device Manager and reinstall it fresh from HP’s support website - https://support.hp.com/
  5. Test in Safe Mode Booting into Safe Mode can help confirm if the issue is driver-related, since Safe Mode loads only essential drivers.

I hope this helps.

I'm an HP Employee.

Thanks a lot for responding!  I do not really know how to access the computer model number but i found some things in the hp system information app.

Because I normally speak another language, my computer setting aren’t in english so ill translate it how it think it would be translated. It says the product name is HP ProBook 455 14inch G9 Notebook PC, the product number is 5Z1C4ES#UUG.

I hope these are the right numbers! In the meanwhile I will try the solutions you have me!

Kind regards

Axolotl2
