Greetings @AmithycaL,
Welcome to HP Forums and Thanks for the post.
I understand that you are facing an issue with your computer where the battery is not charging correctly, is that right?
Not to worry, I will be glad to help.
Have you tried any troubleshooting steps on your own?
Recommend you to update BIOS and other drivers on the computer using HP Support Assistant. Click here to know more.
Once all the drivers are updated including BIOS, please run a system test on the computer. Click here for assistance.
If all the test pass, boot the computer to desktop without the battery connected.
Open device manager by doing a right-click on the Windows button.
Uninstall the battery controllers (you might see multiple of them listed.)
Delete the driver when prompted during uninstallation of the driver.
Restart the computer couple times.
Shutdown the computer and install the battery and turn the computer on.
Now open HP Support Assistant and run a test on the battery.
If the test fails, please contact our phone support for the service options.
Let me know if this helped.
