I got no experience with the Omen desktops but if you follow my posts the Evo 960 series of M.2 disks has caused a lot of problems for HP laptop owners and I do not recommend it. When you say you cannot boot to it does the system (BIOS) even see that it is installed?

Thank you for your answer.

The ssd can be used as a second drive when windows is booted on the HDD. In the bios the ssd can be seen as a boot option only if Legacy Support is enabled but Windows 10 is installed as a UEFI GPT partition on the SSD.
A strange thing when legacy support is disabled is that even the HDD is missing in the boot options. The first option is "Windows Boot Manager". So I tried to unplug the HDD, and when only the SSD is plugged, I have a message like "No media presence".
When the 2 drives are plugged and the system boot on Windows Boot Manager, after Windows 10 has been installed on the SSD, I have a windows recovery blue screen, and if I try "F9 to use a different operating system", 2 windows installation are actually present. It let me think that the SSD is recognize as a boot option. But when I try to boot on it I have this error message : "the application or operating system couldn't be loaded beacause a required file is missing or contains errors" : winload.efi. Of course, I tried to format and reinstall windows several time, whithout success.
What do you think about it ? Now, I am planning to buy a Kingston KC1000 M.2 PCIe NVMe, hoping it will work.
Thanks again.

I think it is not a compatibility issue with the disk or you could not see it at all. I would remove the hard drive and try to set up the M.2 as a gpt disk using secure boot with Windows 10 and get Windows 10 running on the M.2 before I put the HDD back in. I have had the same problem on HP laptops. If you leave the bootable HDD in it is almost impossible to get the M.2 working as the boot drive. Windows 10 does not install to it properly it seems. Put it in the computer all by itself and see what happens.

« boot device not found
Please install an operating system on your hard disk
Hard disk 3f0 »
Even if I can see the Ssd in the bios
« Hard drive
M.2 250GB, Samsung SSD 960 EVO 250GB »
And windows is correctly installed on it...
I don’t know what can I do more...

Me either. I guess you have proven it is compatibility but it is very odd. I would say if you want to get an M.2 PCIe/NVME disk that is just going to work get a Samsung PM961. I have installed either a PM961 or PM951 in 4 different HP laptops now without a hitch.

I just tried an other way and it succeed! Now my computer boot on the ssd and all work well.
I just tried to install W10 via usb key after disabling Secure boot in the bios and with hdd unpluged. Now its ok the computer boot on the new windows10 on the nvme ssd even if the hdd is pluged, and I had reset the bios with a secure boot enabled. It still work. No problem.
Thank you for your help again. I have been working 3 entire days on it.
