Hello,

I've damaged the hard drive on my laptop and test logs are giving me the code GK0559-7GR8GU-XD7V6K-60VV03 for Hard Drive and System (E). My laptop is out of warranty. What is my best solution for repairing the laptop?

As I understand the computer isn't booting into windows anymore,

You've performed the hardware test and it resulted with the failure ID: GK0559-7GR8GU-XD7V6K-60VV03

(I appreciate the detailed post, as it helps us avoid further questioning and get right to the point).

Here's what the ID represents:

Hard Disk 1 Full Test Failure (303)

You will need to get the hard drive replaced, this can be done either using the HP Part store,

Or by contacting HP phone support to set up a repair/replacement order for a nominal fee as the computer is Out of Warranty:

Please use the following link to create yourself a case number, then call and it may help speed up the call process:

Step 1. Open link: www.hp.com/contacthp/

Step 2. Enter Product number or select to auto detect

Step 3. Scroll down to "Still need help? Complete the form to select your contact options"

Step 4. Scroll down and click: HP contact options - click on Get phone number to obtain a case along with the phone number.

They will be happy to assist you immediately.
