Bought my HP laptop about 4 years ago.  The battery is completely dead, but I use the notebook plugged into AC all the time anyway.  My question is:  Should I remove the battery and just leave it out permanently or leave it attached?  I always use it at home plugged into a power source, so don't even need the battery.

I always remove the battery on older laptops.  The heat it generates is best to avoid.
