I'm in the process of upgrading the RAM in a HP Pavilion x360 11m-ad013dx. 

 

After installing the new 8GB of RAM the computer wouldn't boot. The caps lock light started blinking.

 

I read that possibly reseating it would work, so I tried that, still the same result. I put in the original 4GB of RAM and the computer started although it has a CMOS reset message at the beginning.

 

So, since that was successful I tried reinstalling the new RAM again and it still didn't boot. What am I missing?

 

And if someone can point me to the best place to find technical documentation from HP I would really appreciate it, I have been having a lot of trouble finding the technical documentation needed for repairing these newer laptops.

The first thing I can say: RAM is not compatible. But looking at the following page, your machine supports 4GB max because no option from vendor:

 

   http://www.crucial.com/usa/en/compatible-upgrade-for/HP---Compaq/pavilion-x360-11m-ad013dx

The first thing I can say: RAM is not compatible. But looking at the following page, your machine supports 4GB max because no option from vendor:
