So I've been looking around to upgrade the ram in my laptop, as I'm doing alot of development work, and noticed lag time between saving, and switching between applications. I do believe it's a ram issue, as cpu and gpu are averaging around the 40s, however my memory is higher than when I try and play intensive games. Think around the 60s for games, but in the 90s when working on my project.
What im really interested in, is what will work for my laptop? I've tried crucial compatibility, and Kingston, however crucial doesn't recognize my device, and Kingston gives a very broad range. I just wanna know what will work, before I buy it.
I'm looking for 32gb or higher. In my research, I've seen alot of split confirmations of 32gb being the max, and 64gb being the max.

Here's the Crucial memory report for the 16-u0xxx model series:
HP - Compaq HP OMEN 16-u0000 | Memory RAM & SSD Upgrades | Crucial.com
The service manual indicates the max memory is 2 x 16 GB, but the Crucial memory report is almost always right.

According to the Intel processor specs, your notebook's processor runs the memory at 4800 MHz.

Running this report may help determine how much memory the PC can support.
1. In the search box, search for cmd and click Run as administrator.
This will open the command prompt.
2. Once command prompt is opened, type wmic memphysical get maxcapacityEx and press the enter key.
There, it will show the maximum RAM capacity your PC's motherboard can support.
The capacity is shown as Kilobytes, so you have to convert it to Gigabytes by dividing the number provided in the report by 1,048,576.
