Hi, I own an OMEN by HP - 15-ce002nx laptop running Windows 10.

I'm interested in upgrading my RAM from 16 GB to 64 GB.
I'd like to confirm if my laptop supports this upgrade. Also, I'm considering upgrading my OS to Windows 11.
Can you advise if this is possible?

Thank you.

Hi, @kbasali

Yes, since your notebook has an Intel® Core™ i7-7700HQ processor, those will support 2 x 16 GB of DDR4-2400 memory.

Here's a discussion that proves that 2 x 16 GB works in the model series.

Solved: Re: Upgrading RAM in my HP OMEN 15--ce031nw - HP Support Community - 7880916

Windows 11:  Your notebook's processor does not meet Microsoft's minimum processor requirements of an 8th generation core or newer processor, and there are no supported motherboards for your notebook that support the Intel 8th gen core processors.

If you are interested in installing W11 on your PC as is, you can read this discussion for how I upgraded several HP and Dell notebook and desktop PC's that did not meet the W11 hardware requirements to W11 22H2.

You have to use the version of the Rufus utility that I zipped up and attached in the discussion (v3.18).

If the in-place upgrade fails, then you will need to clean install W11 using the bootable W11 installation flash drive you made with Rufus.

The specs of your machine is

                https://support.hp.com/au-en/document/c05942098

It has 8 GB DDR4-2400 SDRAM (2 x 4 GB).  Did you upgrade to 16GB before ? It supports 1GGB max. Crucial also confirms that

@Banhien, thank you for your prompt response.

My laptop currently has 16 GB of RAM. According to Free PC Audit, it appears that I can add a maximum of 32 GB more.

I ran the command 'wmic memphysical get maxcapacity,' and it provided the following information:
MaxCapacity
33554432

From what I understand, I can upgrade to a maximum of 32 GB, correct?
