Omen 15y-DC100-CTO
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hello,

I have a HP Omen laptop 15y-DC100-CTO with 512 GB  SSD + 32 GB Optane™ memory. I want to know if it has another SSD slot.

If yes, can I open it myself to add the SSD or it will loose its warranty? Do I need to take it to a HP support center (or something like this) for that?

Thank you!

It has 2.5" bay for HDD/SSD and you need 2 more parts

  • Hard drive cable connector part # 929450-001
  • Hard drive brackets part # 929561-001

>>>> can I open it myself to add the SSD or it will loose its warranty?

Yes, you can do this yourself BUT when something went wrong due to the upgrade you have to prove that was NOT your fault.

Page 37 of the following manual gives you some ideas hwo hard it is
