HP OmniBook 5 16-bc1871nd - 16 inch - Ryzen™ 7 8840U - 16 GB - 512 GB - Radeon™ 780M

Good day, after multiple failed attempts at purchasing a laptop to work with my G5 docking station, I would like to check if the HP OmniBook 5 16-bc1871nd - 16 inch - Ryzen 7 8840U - 16GB -512 GB - Radeon 780M laptop will connect okay before I purchase. Thank you so much!

Hi @Andreamatt

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query.

Yes, the HP OmniBook 5 (16‑bc1871nd, Ryzen 7 8840U) will work with the HP USB‑C Dock G5, provided the laptop’s USB‑C port supports DisplayPort Alt Mode and Power Delivery. Keep BIOS, drivers, and dock firmware updated for stable performance.
