SSD Shows up as Drive 2, Reinstalled 2.5 Shows up as Drive 1. Why? Boots fine from SSD.

I did say you have to REMOVE the old drive.

Now you can run on new drive (only) for a week or 2 then format the old drive and put it back

Why does the SSD BOOT DRIVE show as drive 2 and the formatted 2.5 SATA BACKUP DRIVE show as drive 1 in Drive MANAGER?  Thanks.

Old drive 1 still carries signature of your machine therefore it is still drive 1. I did say you have to REMOVE the old drive.
