Hello,

the NVMe SSD build in my notebook (HP 17-ca1211ng) is only being recognized in legacy BIOS. If I switch to UEFI only it does not show up any longer. Is there any way to change this behaviour? I really want to avoid to use legacy BIOS on an OS disk in 2020.

Thanks in advance
Cheers,

@gladston3 Greetings from the HP Community!
Are you making any hardware changes to the device? as it should normally work without the need of any changes to the settings as such,

Also, HP does not support or recommend upgrades as the device is set to work at its optimal performance as designed.

Using an NVMe device to boot a computer system requires:

System BIOS configured to enable UEFI* version 2.3.1 and support NVMe boot

I hope that answers your query,
