Hello. I want to upgrade my old but trusty HP Pavilion dv6-1355dx Entertainment Notebook. I bought two Samsung 4GB 2Rx8 PC3 (M471B5273BH1-CF8) RAM memory cards to replace my old two Elpida 2GB 2Rx8 PCR-10600S-9-10-F1 RAM memory cards.
These are the specs for the RAM memory cards:
Samsung: 4GB DDR3 1066MHz SO-DIMM (x2)
ELPIDA: 2GB DDR3 SDRAM SO-DIMM (x2)
I knew the compatibility thanks to a post in this forum: https://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/Notebooks-Archive-Read-Only/dv6-1355dx-upgrades-possible/td-p/5519390
It says that 2 4GB DDR3 1066MHz RAM were compatible.
HP Support Assistant delivers me the following info:
The process through I installed the RAM memory PCBs was only remove the cover, remove the old PCBs and put the new-ones in, and start-up my computer as normal.
I don't know what "80CE" means. Also, I know that in memory it should say 1066MHz, but it only shows 800MHz.
Somebody knows how to fix this? Thank you.

The specs of your machine is
https://icecat.biz/en/p/hp/vm222ua/pavilion-notebooks-0884962549421-dv6-1355dx-3610785.html
which clearly says the FSB is 800MHz that means it accepts other RAM (such as 1066MHz) but will always run at 800MHz or downgrade to 800MHz.
Regards.
