Hi:

You need this driver for that device...

This package provides the Intel Management Engine Components Driver for supported notebook models running a supported operating system.

https://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp94501-95000/sp94676.exe

If your mobile workstation has the i7-8850H processor, then you need this version instead...

Hey Paul,

Thank you for the links.  I am running the i7-8850H. I downloaded and installed the correct package and still no luck.  I also have a Nividia Quadro P4200 GPU installed from the factory.  I had to download the drivers from Nividia which worked but I'd like to know how to get that to be the primary GPU even on the laptop screen.

Thanks for the help

You're very welcome.

Let's dig a little deeper into problem.

Please post the hardware ID for the PCI Serial Port, and then we will go from there.

Use this guide for how to find the hardware ID for a device...

Here you go

PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_A37C&SUBSYS_842D103C&REV_10
PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_A37C&SUBSYS_842D103C
PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_A37C&CC_070000
PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_A37C&CC_0700

Thanks

Thanks.

While I am figuring out exactly what driver you need (I am pretty sure the one I gave you is correct, but I will confirm and give you the instructions to install the driver since the auto install isn't working), here is the link from HP for how to set the nVidia GPU as the default adapter.

Will be back in a few...

OK, I was wrong.

Here is the link to the driver you need for that device...

This package provides the Intel Sensor Hub Component Driver for supported computer models that are running a supported operating system.

Here is a partial copy and paste of the driver setup information file, which shows driver support for the hardware ID you posted...

Awesome that worked.  I still can't get the Nividia to run as my primary GPU but I'll keep working on it. I followed the what the link said which is what I was doing prior but no luck.  My issue is, I am running a very graphic heavy program (not gaming), and no matter if I run it on the program itself or on the web version, my CPU is maxed at 100% and the GPU is not doing anything.

Anytime.

Glad to have been of assistance.

You may want to start a new topic on the graphics issue because that was the only suggestion I could offer regarding that.
