Spectre x360

Hi all:

I've got a Spectre x360 model 14-ef2013dx and I'd like to upgrade the SSD to a 2TB and I've been searching on these forums and the internet and can't get a definitive answer. I want to buy a PCI-e 4.0 device and from what I can see using CPU-Z, my device supports 4.0 (see "Link Speed" and "Bus Specification" below.)

Can someone confirm that the 14-ef2013dx will support PCI-e 4.0 speeds? Thanks!

Northbridge                        Intel IDA708 rev. 01

Southbridge                        Intel Raptor Lake-P PCH rev. 01

@KLH321,

Welcome to our HP User Forum!

An HP Spectre X360 13.5 INCH 2-IN-1 LAPTOP PC 14-ef2013DX (7P0Q7UA), according to: https://partsurfer.hp.com/partsurfer/?searchtext=7P0Q7UA&searchby=product, translates into an HP Spectre x360 13.5 inch 2-in-1 Laptop PC 14-ef2000 (771X1AV).

This laptop is fitted with a 512GB gen4.0 M.2 NVMe SSD (p/n: M17436-005 / M17436-001), which has these specifications:
PCIe NVMe Gen-4.0 x4, NVMe 1.3c
Max Sequential Read up to 7,000 MB/sec (Crystal Disk Mark)
Max Sequential Write up to 5,000 MB/sec (Crystal Disk Mark)

In other words, yes, your device definitely supports PCIe 4.0 speeds.

Hope this was helpful.

Kind Regards,
