Hello, Im planning to upgrade my laptop intel celeron n3060. From 4 gb ram to 8 gb ram and 500 HDD to 256 SSD, I’ll be only using the laptop to browse the internet, create documents and watch videos. Will it suffice?
Im also planning to buy a second hand laptop with amd ryzen 3 3250U or an i5 7300U.
if I’ll only be using a laptop for documents, research and watching videos, what should I do? Upgrade my laptop or get a second hand laptop with a better processor?

Hi:
Upgrading your existing notebook with 8 GB of memory and a 2.5" SSD will help its current performance, but buying either notebook that you mentioned would probably help even more.
Cost to upgrade your existing mode in USD:
Memory: $16
Crucial RAM 8GB DDR3 1600 MHz CL11 Laptop Memory CT102464BF160B at Amazon.com
SSD: $40. You may want to spend the extra $12 and get the 500 GB model instead.
So, it depends on how much you want to pay for better performance, a little or quite a bit more, unless you can get either notebook for $100 or less.
I wouldn't buy either of those secondhand notebooks if they didn't have SSD's and 8 GB or 16 GB of memory because then you will have to invest more money into upgrading those.
