So I spilled a soda on my work laptop! I think I need a new motherboard as it won't turn on at all. Anyone know the part number to replace it? Thanks!

Here's the Service Manual:
There is a complete list of all parts with numbers in it. A liquid spill particularly a sugary liquid like soda can damage more than the motherboard. It can get the keyboard, the hard drive, the wireless card, etc. This is the kind of thing where you are better off taking it to a good technician.

That's the issue. If the hard drive is not damaged; yes. Needs to be tested. When you swap motherboards you transfer over a bunch of stuff like memory, wifi card, storage (hard drive or SSD) and you need to be sure all those components are good.
