So, a vertical rectangular strip on the right side of my laptop screen has gone black. Sometimes it randomly vanishes but then reappears again. Although the screen is black the functions beneath the screen are still working. I have updated the graphic drivers, run diagnostics, but the tests are clear. Got any clues on what to do? laptop: HP Victus 15-fa0xxx Windows 11 version 22H2

You state that you ran diagnostics. Did you run the diagnostic test on the display?

I ask because you did not specify which diagnostic tests you ran. There are many.

Did the display test result show any problems, as in an error message?

Have you connected an external display to see if the issue is replicated there?

Is your laptop still in warranty?
