I am simply trying to talk to a human person at HP. I have a service/parts order for a battery. It's supposed to arrive on 8/15. But one HP help communication told me that the battery is available and I purchased it through a paylink supplied by that contact (via X/twitter), while another contact (the email contact us option) said that they no longer carry that battery. The battery was allegedly going to arrive on July 28, but the service order update changed to say 8/15. I can't find or get any other information from anywhere--virtual assistant, HP contact, etc. They say there's a chat option but I have not seen one--not with real humans. I want to know this: is the correct battery being sent?

@MegC5,

Welcome to our HP Community forum!

I am sorry you're dealing with such conflicting information -that would be frustrating for anyone, especially when just trying to get a battery order sorted.

So, here’s what I would recommend:

1. Contact HP Parts Order Support (U.S.) — With a Human:

Since you have a valid Service Order Number (BXFD782501), you can escalate this directly to HP’s U.S. Parts Support Team, which handles order status, payment issues, and part confirmations:

HP Parts Store – U.S. Customer Support:

Phone: 1 ‑ 8 0 0 ‑2 2 7 ‑ 8 1 6 4

Hours: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 6:00 PM (Central Time)

Have the following ready:

  • Order number (BXFD782501)

  • Your full name & shipping address

  • Email address used for the order

2. You Can Also Check Order Status Online:

You may be able to check your HP parts order at: https://parts.hp.com.

Click on “Order Status” and enter your order number and email.

Mixed Messages from HP Contacts (Twitter vs Email):

It is unfortunately not uncommon for HP’s various support channels (social media, web forms, and email) to give mixed info -especially when stock changes frequently. A direct phone call to the Parts Team is the best way to:

  • Confirm if the correct battery is being sent

  • Clarify availability and expected delivery date

  • Get a tracking number (if already shipped)

Still Stuck? Here's a Last Resort:

If the Parts Team doesn't resolve your concern, you can try HP Executive Customer Relations via this form: https://support.hp.com/us-en/contact-hp/form.
Select “Service or repair issue” and clearly describe the order confusion.

Let me know the battery part number or your HP laptop model if you want help confirming compatibility!

Kind Regards,

Hello--thank you for this response. It's very helpful. I will follow up with these steps, if necessary. In the meantime, I responded to an HP parts "ticket" with my question about conflicting info, and "Oscar" responded quickly. He looked into the matter and confirmed that the correct battery has been ordered. It's expected to arrive on 8/15. I'll wait to take any further steps until then. I appreciate your help here, in case I need the next steps of escalation.

By the way--since I don't know who is on here--I want to say that Rahul on HP twitter and Oscar, customer service rep for HP parts, have both been very helpful, polite, and professional.  I appreciate their help. My son works for a tech co, and I know that sometimes reviews and customer surveys and opinions really matter.
