Hi,
I found out that my laptop 15-bc009nm (Y0W35EA) has free M.2 SSD slot. Problem is that manual given on product page (https://support.hp.com/hr-en/product/hp-pavilion-15-bc000-notebook-pc-series/10862166/manuals) gives supported ssd only for models 15-bc300 and higher. So, I would like to know what type of SSD I can install and/or link to appropriate Maintenance and Service Guide.

Hi:
According to the Crucial memory/SSD report for your notebook, it only supports M.2 SATA SSD's, not NVMe.

First of all, Thank you for your answer.
Yes, on the provided link only SATA is compatible but is that information correct? As you can see on this link https://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/Notebook-Hardware-and-Upgrade-Questions/Pavilion-15-Bc009nm-upgrade-M2... 15-bc009nm should support PCIe, but my worry is that some laptops with similar product numbers do not support it and I was not able to find anyone online who tried it to confirm it works. Also, I was not able to find any official HP document regarding PCIe support (or any other document regarding 15-bc009nm), so were did Crucial website got their information from? Someone made a review of entire series and they also stated it i supported https://laptopmedia.com/review/hp-pavilion-15-2016-review-hp-is-stepping-up-its-game-with-a-good-per... but only for 15 inch models 🤔

You're very welcome.
You may want to contact Crucial and ask them, because I would not know where they got the info from.
There is no way that I can confirm that your PC's M.2 slot supports NVMe when any other reference I can find indicates it cannot.
I can say that I don't know of any notebooks with Intel 6th gen processors and Skylake chipsets that support NVMe drives.
Chapter 1 of the service manual is pretty vague, except for one line...at the top of page 2, it indicates...
1 TB, 5400 rpm, 9.5 mm/7.2 mm hard drive + 128 GB SATA, TLC, M.2 solid-state drive
http://h10032.www1.hp.com/ctg/Manual/c06325755
And that is the only service manual that I know of.
Chapter 3 shows NVMe drives for certain models in the series, but not the bc000 series.

I finally managed to find manual for bc000 models (i5-6300HQ with gtx960M) : https://www.manualslib.com/manual/1335102/Hp-Pavilion-15-Bc000.html?page=47#manual
and here it is stated that Solid-state drive, 512 GB, PCIe 3x4 SS, TLC ( 847110-002 ) is supported, so probably I will try it.
