Pavilion 15-eg3001nf - RAM Upgrade ?

Hello I have a HP Pavilion Laptop 15-eg3001nf as my everyday laptop and I was thinking of upgrading from the 2*8Go to 2*16Go of DDR4 RAM.

The GPU is an intel Iris Xe and from what I understand its performance can be improved with more RAM.

I have read the manual and it says the max is 16Go but other sources says 32 or even 64Go.

Would it still work or maybe I should not try ?

Hi:

I can't find any specs on your exact model notebook.

If your notebook has one of the Intel Core processors, I don't see any reason why 2 x 16 Go of memory wouldn't work.

The crucial memory report indicates the model series will support 2 x 32 Go of memory.

The CMD command "wmic memphysical get MaxCapacity" also says 16Go but maybe its wrong.

I think i will ask intel support if the GPU can handle 32Go because its my first time with intel GPU and Integrated Graphics.

You're very welcome.

I think on these newer models, the command line method to determine the memory is not as accurate as it used to be.

This discussion proves that at least 2 x 16 Go of memory will work in the model series.
