Hi, I am using an old laptop - HP Pavilion 17-ab200nu, originally equipped with 8GB (2x 4096MB) - DDR4, 2400MHz SODIMM.

I will appreciate it, if You can help me with the following :

1) How much is the max RAM I can upgrade to - 16 or 32GB?

2) Is it compatible with 2666MHz?

Thank You!

HP Recommended

1) Maximum 32 GB installed memory

2) The compatible memory will be PC4-2400

If you install 2666Mhz memory, it will downclock to 2400MHz MHz.

Hi again, didn't open a new question, because it's the same topic 🙂

Scrolling through the options to buy, other questions came up 😞 :

1)Both sticks should be dual-channel type in order to work, right?

2)What is the required/recommended CAS - CL17?

3)Are you allowed to give me an url link to HP approved item to buy (Europe), or a suggestion, if not it's ok 🙂 ?

Here is a link to guaranteed compatible memory and SSD products for your notebook PC in the EU.

Dual channel is a setting derived from BIOS and motherboard chipset, not the memory modules.

CL=17
