Hello, I have a Pavilion 17-f151fm, product number K6Z65EA#BED if it's any help. I am looking to upgrade hardware a little bit but I am finding different information about hardware so I'm in a little doubt what to do. Does this laptop have two ram memory slots or only one? I would also like to replace existing HDD with SDD, more precisely Samsung Evo 850. Are there perhaps some hardware incompatibilities? And would I gain some noticeable improvements in performance? Laptop is running Windows 8.1 x64.
Thanks for reply.

Here are the specs:
http://support.hp.com/ca-en/document/c04479935
Here is the Service Manual:
See p. 2-3. You model being a Core i3 processor has 2 memory slots and it can run up to 2 x 8 gig DDR3L-1600 for a total of 16 gigs. A Samsung Evo 850 SATA-III SSD will work fine. It would be a major speed improvement.
However, either upgrade involves very tricky surgery. See p. 93 for the hard drive and back up to p. 70 showing removal of the top cover.
See p. 104 for memory. I will just say here that it involves pulling out the motherboard.

Thanks for help, I was wondering if you can help me with one more thing. Since there are two memory slots I want to buy one more 4GB memory module. But I can't find Hynix HMT451S6BFR8A-PB memory in my contry, and this ones I can, Samsung M471B5173EB0-YK0, Kingston KVR16S11S8/4G, Kingston KVR16LS11/4G, do you know are they all compatibile with Hynix that came with laptop? I already bought memory for my desktop and it turns out that they are not compatible, so I don't want to make same mistake. Thank for help and reply.

You want to match three things: 1. speed DDR3L-1600 2. voltage 1.35 volts and 3. density...same number of black memory blocks on the side of the module, 4 or 8. You also want to try to match latency which is the CL number likely 11. If all those things match the memory will be compatible.
One of the Kingstons you ask about is 1.5 volt so that is no good.
