Pavilion 17-g192nr
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

The support site for this model has Maintenance and service guide for  models 17-g000 to 17-g099 only.

These have Gen 5 Intel processors.

On the other hand, Pavilion 17-g192nr has 6th generation  I7-6700HQ. (the one I have)

If anyone has Maintenance and service guide for Pavilion 17-g192nr, can you please share it with me?

Need to find a compatible system board.

thx.

@Dembaravi

Sounds like HP did not publish Maintenance and Service Guide for the series  Models 17-g100 – 17-g199 Intel Models. The specs of your machine is

If you wish to know what is part # for its system board you can use

Most HP laptops come in  with different processors.

The PGA socket processors are replaceable within their family with some restrictions.

For BGA socket processors the entire system board has to be replaced if it fails. But as above, one can replace, say a 4 core BGA socket processor with a 2 core within the same family again, with some restrictions.

I am looking for ALL system boards that I can use.

In page 48 of the Maintenance guide for 17-g000 to 17-g099 models, there are several system boards listed as replacement with different processors - pentium, I3, I5 and I7.

I am looking for a similar list for the 17-g1*** series.

Did you try using the Product ID instead of the Model number?
