Product: HP Pavilion dv6
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 7 (64-bit)

I recently experienced a problem with my HP Pavilion dv6 Notebook that, based on posts from other users, seems to have been a problem since at least 2012. I opened my laptop screen and the bottom left corner piece where the hinge is broke off. I've had my computer for quite a while and therefore is out of warranty, but if this was a faulty design error on HPs part, is there anyway way I could get this fixed without have to spend hundreds of dollars for a repair?

I have brought your issue to the attention of an appropriate team within HP. They will likely request information from you in order to look up your case details or product serial number. Please look for a private message from an identified HP contact. Additionally, keep in mind not to publicly post personal information (serial numbers and case details).
