Pavilion X360

This laptop was great and only a year old, until I recently went to open it and the screen popped out. I fear that if I close it, it will make it worse. I reached out to customer support which was terrible, telling me I am 2 weeks after the warranty and it will cost me $450 to have it fixed. The laptop is still functional except it is popping out, it does stays in position, and the touch screen works perfectly. What are my options and what can I do about this? It seems like a lot of people have the same exact issue, my computer is barely used so I cannot understand how it could break so easily.

I have brought your issue to the attention of an appropriate team within HP. They will likely request information from you in order to look up your case details or product serial number. Please look for a private message from an identified HP contact. Additionally, keep in mind not to publicly post personal information (serial numbers and case details).

If you are unfamiliar with how the Community's private message capability works, you can learn about that here.
