Laptop has m.2 slot but will not recognize nvme ssd

It is compatible with M.2 PCIe NVMe (TLC) SSD products.

 

You may need to use the Windows update to get the drivers for it or it might just need to be prepped by using  the DiskPart utility.

 

You can use the DiskPart utility to create a volume, partition and add a drive letter to initialize it.

 

Are you planning to use it as your boot disk?

 

I provided a tutorial on how to invoke and use Windows DiskPart utility in a Knowledgebase article that I authored on upgrading to an SSD.
