The problem I have I've seen posted many times(over 50x), so I'm hoping for a responsive, fair, expedient solution.
The bottom left hand corner of my laptop screen "pops" out. This is due to a crack in the gray plastic casing that surrounds the screen. The screen is in tact, the touch screen feature works, it is fully functional. However, unless I hold the screen against the back of the casing each time I open it, it "pops" out. Since it hasn't been dropped, and I've seen dozens of people in recent weeks and months with the exact same problem, I would hope that HP assumes some responsibility for this.
I contacted my local authorized HP supply and repair shop. It is $400 to replace the plastic because they said, "the plastic and the screen itself are the same part, so the whole screen needs to be replaced."
Here's the interesting part, I paid $550 for the whole computer!
HP, how can you help. Please don't tell me to spend $400 to fix it.
Thanks!
