Hello I just recently upgrade from 8gb of ram to 32gb of ram I made sure to get the correct kind however a bit after i put my new ram in I started to notice that my computer would just randomly shutdown after 1 or 2.I found that my ram speed is set to 2666 by default and I cant lower it because I cant enter into the advance bios to change it.Is there any way for me to fix it or drop my ram down to 2133 because i think that its to fast for my CPU to handle and I would like if I could do it at home rather then needing to send it in since I really need my computer.

I still say it is the memory you installed.

You should have bought standard DDR4-3200 memory with the standard CL22 timing such as what Crucial recommends for your PC.

Hi:

What is the memory brand and part number you installed?

What is the memory timing specification you installed?

It needs to be CL19 if you installed DDR4-2666 MHz memory and CL22 if you installed DDR4-3200 memory.

The memory speed is supposed to be 2666 MHz, not anything faster or slower.

That is the speed your notebook's Intel® Core™ i5-9300H processor runs the memory at.

My mother board is an hp(brand) 85FC(product) 42.47(version).

I am using ddr4 32gb ram (2x16) 3200MHz CL16 however it says if it cant run xmp it will baseline at 2666 cl 19 (which you just said it what they recommend)
